Southside Animal Shelter and IndyFeral are working together to transfer kittens from Indianapolis Animal Care and Control.

We need fosters to care for the kittens and help socialize them while they get ready for adoption. Each kitten will be vaccinated, altered and microchipped before entering the adoption center.

For more information on feral cats and kittens go to IndyFeral. If you would like to foster, please contact Robin at robin@ssasi.org.

I'm feeding feral & stray cats in my neighborhood. Some keep having kittens. What should I do to help feral or stray cats?

Contact IndyFeral for assistance. If you're feeding stray or feral cats in your neighborhood in Indianapolis, you are required by the city's trap-neuter-return ordinance to spay/neuter, vaccinate, eartip them, and register them with IndyFeral.

IndyFeral also has information on free spay/neuter surgeries offered to outside cats being fed by residents in zip codes 46201 and 46203.
