Southside Animal Shelter is a no-kill shelter rescuing animals from many sources: individuals, IAC, other kill facilities, and more. We do our very best to place healthy animals in loving homes
We are pleased and proud to announce that 1,143 animals were rescued from Indianapolis Animal Care and Control in 2010 and 974 in 2011. Darcie Kurtz, Kennel Manager at IAC, stated that Southside Animal Shelter rescued more animals than any other group since 2010. We are very excited to make this announcment, knowing lives were saved and tax dollars as well.
