On Oct 29 & 30, 2010, a team from Southside Animal Shelter went to Mexico, MO to one of the largest dog auctions held at one of the largest puppy mills in the country. This operation was being shut down due to numerous USDA violations and bad publicity. We were determined to keep as many dogs as we could from going back into the puppy mill system. These are some of the survivors; please contact me if you would like to give one of these dogs a real home for the first time in their life.

Daisy is looking for a foster home so she has a place to stay while she gets ready for her furever home. If you think you would like to help Daisy get ready please contact robin@ssasi.org. Southside Animal Shelter will help supply her needs, she just needs a some time, love and patience while she gets ready.

Auntie Leila's in Greenwood opened up on Sunday to give all the Missouri Puppy Mill dogs a Spa Day. Thank you to everyone that volunteered that day. It looks like the dogs had a great time. Check out some of the video.
