Southside Animal Shelter rescues at-risk companion animals. Some of these pets need special attention, medical care, love and time. Others have come to us and for some reason are having a difficult time finding a home. You can help Southside with our rescue efforts by sponsoring the care of one of our pets or adopting and giving them a stable forever home. Please read their stories.
There is a Lonely Heart Club for the cats who have been with us for over one year. In an effort to help them find a home their adoption fee has been lowered. We continue to hear positive feedback on adopted Lonely Hearts. They make loving, wonderful friends!
Dollie - rescued NOVEMBER 13, 2009 Dollie is becoming one of our long time rescues as she has been with us since November.
Dollie came to us with babies and stayed in foster care for over a month. All her babies have been adopted for quite sometime now. Dollie is still looking for her home. Her foster mom said she was a very loyal, sweet friend. We think she is a Pit mix around 2 years of age. Dollie is a very good girl, she is a little shy with men and should not go to a home with cats. She loves to chase tennis balls. Stop in and meet her or call us at 317-710-2831! Rescued 11/13/09
All of them are looking for homes to call their own, and every one of them deserves a second chance.
Remember, there is a home for every pet and a pet for every home. It is just a matter of finding each other.
