CAGER SHARES HIS BIRTHDAY
Cager loves dogs. He decided that instead of birthday presents for himself he wanted his buddies to bring treats for the animals. Pictured is Cager with many of his goodies. Cager took the treats to the dogs and let them pick which one they wanted. He received many happy wags, licks but no one was as happy as Cager. Cager is a kindergarten student at St. Jude school. His act of kindness was beyond thoughful, expecially for a little guy turning 6! Thanks Cager March 2011
SPECIAL THANKS TO DECATUR CENTRAL MIDDLE SCHOOL
Mrs. Meidemas star class, a class of 18 students made wrist band that had the letters "RAWR" on them which stands for "Rescue Animals Without Regret". They printed off pics from our website, made posters and hung them around school. They began selling wrist band during their lunch hour for about 2 weeks. They raised $503.00 for the shelter, Mrs. Meidema adopted Jake the beagle from us in October 2010. She said that when they started the fund raiser she was surprised to learn that almost half the school had either adopted a cat or a dog from us. She said they still have people bring towels and other donations for her to drop off periodicly. Southside Animal is so proud of the class and so very thankful for this gift. Many animals will benefit from their generous donation! Thanks so so much
